I couldn’t resist adding some cello and harmonies to Kaer’s absorbing and sensitive offering “Deflated & Alone” - I tried to keep the integrity of her original deconstructed musical arrangement (enhancing the sense of unraveling) and place the cello portions in the spaces between. I loved singing the harmonies and the church bells add a hymn-like quality to this gutsy existential paean.
