I'll Never Forget Ole' Whats Her Name?

I’ve recently been spending some time in rural middle and western U.S.A. - the radio plays allot of country music (everything from the ridiculous to the sublime). I felt like trying my hand and some lyrics in this genre (albeit with my personal slant; quirky and humorous in the 1st song and Tongue-in-cheek philosophical in the second.
“I’ll Never Forget Ole’ What’s Her Name?” & “Vanity”. Lyrics: I’ll never forget Ole’ What’s Her Name? – She caused me such heartbreak and pain She slept inside on a silk divan But kept me outside in the rain. At the Stardust Casino she rode the gravy train with her winnings she couldn’t have been meaner oh poker and blackjack, I went down dirty-handed and so I was sent to the cleaner’s. Oh I’ll never forget Ole’ What’s Her Name? Her black eyes and her sexy tattoos I was hers for a day Then she cast me away and left me for somebody new… Her Daddy was rich And her Mama was too Of their bestowals and trusts none too few she wore diamonds and furs and Chanel #5 I wore blue-jeans and holes in my shoes. My advice to you guys Who fall in deep with rich gals Make sure you’re not out of your league… Champagne, caviar, Lear jets, fancy cars the dark side of romantic intrigue. Oh I’ll never forget Ole’ What’s Her Name? Her black eyes and her sexy tattoos I was hers for a day Then she cast me away and left me for somebody new… 2. Vanity - Of city places And country places And places out-of-the-way Poets and ramblers, wise men and gamblers Have had many a word to say. But if any of you seek wisdom, Look inside and ask yourselves this… Can your thoughts be disguised by language? Or your directions betrayed by a kiss? Noble words may be written on paper. Quotations both clever and wry. But at night as we lay on our pillows… Do we simply cry, “oh why ask why?” At night as we lay on our pillows… and gaze up at the empty starless sky…do we cry, do we sigh? “oh why ask why?” Oh nothing left but to do or to die. Vanity sits at the mirror, Mocking smiles that soon turn to frowns… Strikes the match for that gasoline river That is soon to light up the whole town.
