Here’s me singing a great narva9 song she wrote to the equally great Pitx instrumental “See You Later”. All I did was sing it and tweak very slightly some FX and mastering details. n9 and Pitx really deserve the lion’s share of the credit here, so if you like it, make sure and thank them… I’m just happy I got to be part of it (also, homemade cookies are good).
Here’s the lyrics:

Plugged-in, polarized
Fist raised in anger
Staring down, don’t meet the eyes
Everyone’s a stranger

Thousand tunes ringing in my ear
No time for conversation
Thousand channels wired to my brain
No thought, just sensation

Don’t look at me, can’t you see
I don’t wanna talk to you
I’m plugged in to the world
I’m wired but disconnected
Wired but disconnected

I’ve seen the world through my screen
I’ve travelled it with my fingers
There’s no need to touch or feel
‘Cause nothing here is real

You may be tall, I may be short
But that’s just reality
I am as I want to be
And that’s virtual-ity
Wired but disconnected

Sit next to me, I don’t care
Look but don’t you touch
Your presence here is just a fact
And to me it don’t mean much

Face-to-face is not my thing
It’s matter of perspective
I’m so hip I don’t need you here
With me to be connected
Wired but disconnected

Plugged-in, polarized
fist raised in anger
Staring down, don’t meet the eyes
Everyone’s a stranger

Thousand tunes ringing in my ear
No time for conversation
Thousand channels wired to my brain
No thought, just sensation

Don’t look at me, can’t you see
I don’t wanna talk to you
I’m plugged in to the world
I’m wired but disconnected
Wired but disconnected

Bluesy, funky, gritty and a brilliant example of the “unexpected collaboration” that proves what this site is all about. After marveling at the irresistible toe-tapping groove dig the oh so ironic lyrics considering the process by which it was all put together. The only nit: I would have named it “virtuality” ;)

Thanks to everyone involved who posted the samples into the wild.
