Same as last time. Propellerhead stuff. ReFills. You know.
And I paid for it.
So there.
Samples I Used
Propellerhead stuff. What stuff, you ask? Oh, all kinds. Their bass refill, for instance. Hmm. What else. Electromechanical. Terrific free ReFill for registered owners. And I bought a few other ones from their store.
Oh. And a fantastic bass REX file by Kurt Kurasaki (a.k.a. "Peff")
Original Samples
None. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Niente. Inga.
Process
Very simple this time around. Had to do a few pitch shifts, Record took care of BPM stretch - and the rest was straight-forward:
- the first bass and drums are loops
- the second bass I played on the keyboard
- I added the keys
- I did some level automation
That's about that.
Other Notes
It’s now officially 2010 here in Toronto and I’ve had a bottle of Veuve Clicquot to celebrate the fact. Here’s the thing. I’m pretty damn lucky to have access to this amazing music to work with. There’s something about that which makes this the best possible age to live in.
Yeah. I think I’m OK with that.
