Hahah. Right back atcha, young’un.
This is a different side of you - or maybe not. At least the “you” as defined by public-slash-internet exposure. If you know what I mean. And good on ya for it. I know you can’t absolutely stand me pointing out things I don’t like; but as the scorpion said to the cricket “I can’t help it. It’s my nature.” I think the track would be two and a half times better without the flute. There. I said it. And if it’s any consolation, I weep a tear of regret. Before I have a glass of wine and forget all about it. |

Leave it to you ta figure out the trick intro. Yea, see the flute is a metaphor here. In two ways. First it comes in all flaccid and dreamy. But then, uh oh, up jumps the Devil all pumpin and humpin. Then, acourse, at the end there’s Mr. Flute again spurtin his last few notes. But I guess ya had ta be there;-)

(not Lawrence) - I have just spent a while reading the entire shebang of the DohHouse Riley Affaire dossier …. what an amazing collection of thoughts, ideas, ruffled feathers, misconstruances and mental ramblings! I must say I was amused and also surprised by some of the comments to your ideas. Just wanted you to know that I did read it all…and refrained from commenting (although I do have a good quote about what “Art” is - I may throw in as a 2 cents remark) - I am with you on the validity of Presence and Performance over Pastiche - and my perception of the current format of mixing and sampling is that it but an extension of the Surrealist “Exquisite Corpse” concept. Regardless, it is often therapeutic to create and hear music, and would be a sad world with no music. Thanks for the provocative tea-time I had today…. cheers Anchor oh yeah….P.S. : nice song, this! |
