Thanks! I think Anchor’s voice works incredible well when used musically - and I was very lucky he wanted to do this collaboration work.

And he is a bit of a genius with word, yes? :)

Thanks for leaving a review. Much appreciated.

A perfect frame for Anchor’s lament.
It had me as soon as he started humming at 0:45.
Love the subtle synth pad following AM’s phrases.
Top shelf mate.

Thanks - very much appreciated.

As part of this project, Anchor recorded a bunch of truly excellent harmonies that I just couldn’t figure out how to piece together in this, but may go back to revisit later.

Thanks again.

This is great (as always). I love your attention for detail, without the details getting in the way of Anchor’s very fine vocals (also as always).

Thanks. :)

I agree re: AM’s vocals - there was a time when it seemed like people only used his spoken word, but there’s so much melody to his singing that you can create pretty much anything you want with them.

Thanks for leaving a comment - really nice to read.

Another GREAT mix. Anchor’s voice is incredible, and you’ve done a lovely job of setting it off nicely. The atmosphere and texture in this are such that I can put it on repeat.

Thanks - that’s a very nice way to put it.

I really tried to make sure the elements complement the vocals and not overtake them; but it’s a pretty dense soundscape at times so I wasn’t always sure. Great to get the positive feedback - thanks for leaving a comment.

Thank you for that!

Re: basslines - there are two of them, one fairly basic synthline which I change the freq./res. settings on; and a sampled Kay Hollowbody bass.

I’m a huge fan of layering sounds in a way where they’re the same family like that (basses or drum kits/loops, etc.) but sound different enough to add another element to the overall texture.

Thanks for the thumbs-up!

I think the layering of the synth bass and the electric bass worked out pretty well - glad you liked, and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.

Hahaha - yes, I’d forgotten just how long ago it was that I had a working draft. Didn’t change much in it since that time either. Ah well. :)

Thanks for leaving a comment - I do appreciate it.

Even more over the top if you knew the track he recorded it to originally! :)

This was quite a few months back, and at the time it seemed that AM’s vocals were used either in experimental tracks, or just spoken word to fill out instrumental ones - and this pella was a great opportunity to do something with his melodic singing which was a lot of fun.

Thanks for leaving a comment - I do appreciate it.

Thanks.
