Canada Day week? So you guys take one week to celebrate one day?? Now I am really disappointed that my father did not want to move to Canada when my mother suggested just that. Oh yeah, very cool track, which proves that you don’t need all your toys to create something good. But we do like our toys, don’t we?

We do indeed. I feel so … empty without them. Oh - and re: Canada Day week - we’re just desperate for any chance to take some time off. Unlike some European countries, we get about six days of vacation per year here. :) |

You must be referring to the French, because they have a bank holiday every other day. Here in the land below sea level even Liberation Day (celebrating the end of WWII) is only a bank holiday once every five years and that mostly happens to coincide with the weekend…;-)

When you make mixes in a more conventional or standard way one can see better the great musician that is under
Only six days per year, that’s very, very hard :( (edit): any possibility of an audio file without voice? |

Only six days per year, that’s very, very hard :( (edit): any possibility of an audio file without voice? Thanks - I appreciate that very much. BTW - I was joking about the six days per year, but only barely. I am now up to a glorious four weeks - but when I started working here in Canada I got 10 business days off per year - and compared to Sweden that was quite a rude awakening. :) Re: instrumentals - done. |

Thank goodness for the so-so weather..you stayed in and made a great track…very chilled vibe…I’m guessing that’s the rhodes.

Thanks for that! Yeah, this was done between my little boy having his mid-day naps and later at night. I usually do tracks very rapidly in one go - but this was made in bits and pieces over the course of a few days. Thanks for leaving a review. |

mm, I agree with eshar, I love that Rhodes to death. Great, sparse texture - lots of work being done by not too many samples, instruments, and beats. Nice work

PS - thanks for that Reason file - it’s always interesting to see how others work!

You’re very welcome. You’ll find a few oddities - the MClass—>Scream—>MClass combo is something I do every now and then to create a really boxed in sound - but it looks weird. Also - doing the ECF on the instrumentals only and using the line mixer is unusual for me, but I wanted the ability to change the filter on the instro only. Finally - you’ll find that there are quite a few rhythm tracks in there sort of bopping against each other. Thanks for leaving the review. Ciao. |

Most of the sounds in the RNS file have been tweaked - I like to load factory sounds and then start to play around with all the various settings to get something that fits what I have in mind. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for leaving a review! |

Music from a log cabin eh!
Well I was expecting something in tune with nature and full of wonderful bird sounds and beavers chewing down a few more trees. But this was very nice too! |

Well I was expecting something in tune with nature and full of wonderful bird sounds and beavers chewing down a few more trees. But this was very nice too! Hahah. Yes, I hear that. But then again this is no ordinary log cabin - in fact, it’s more of a very nice house that we rented, just set in cottage country. We do get bears around these here parts though, if that helps. :) And now I go to sleep in a nice bed with sheets that have very high cotton counts. |

That fresh air’s good for ya ;-) Indeed. This is what passes for an upbeat track for me. :) This would be an ideal place to hole up for a while, to be honest, if it wasn’t for the high cost of living. Oh, and the slow wifi. :) Thanks for the review. |

Mmmmmm. I’m downloading this right now!! Need I say more? (Oh no … you’ll think I’m copying Duckett with my ‘mmmms’ but I didn’t read his review first, I promise. We obviously have the same ‘mmm’ triggers!)

Oh, I think I can live with two “mmmms” for this track. Thanks for this one - much appreciated. |

sorry i’m late Co-Bro. great combo of elements here to set the vibe & highlight the message. this is like the stuff beamed over from Jamaica Free Radio to remind those of us in the states that it is possible to live free. good one, man.

Hardly “late” since I only uploaded it yesterday. And I’m not one to comment either, since I haven’t been able to listen to a single track all week (it took me 15 mins just to upload this one … not conducive to browsing through 30+ CCM tracks! :) Thanks for your review. It’s a hell of a reference. |

Delicious! You must be feeling fine in your cottage in the woods, as there is some fine feeling coming through my headphones right now! As previously indicated, mmmmmmm!

Feeling great - yes. We needed to get away for a bit, because it had been much too long since last time. Thanks for the review - glad you enjoyed it enough for a “mmmm”. :) |

Great boppy happy mix. You must be having a terrific time… it shows in your mix. :-) Three cheers for more vacation mixes!
n9 Ps - Happy belated Canada Day! I too am taking advantage of it’s mid-weekness by taking the rest of the week off. No cottage for me just a lot of time at home communing with the cats. So far they are winning the napping competitions….but it’s close and I am determined. :-) |

Ah yes - the vacation mix category. There is something there, but it would need to be further refined, because holiday vacation blues can be a very different thing from midsummer vacation bliss. :) Quote: narva9No cottage for me just a lot of time at home communing with the cats. Terrific good riffs and again,.. wonderful rhodes. Aahhh, that_s good for the soul. Well, thank you for that - both for taking the time to leave a review and for the very kind words. But you know for this track I only had two octaves to work with, on a keyboard that mostly reminded me of an old Casio VL-1 - so if the rhodes sound good, it’s a bloody miracle. :) Thanks again my friend. |

I know I am late, but I have been listening to the whole last remixes page, and it took some time to vote the best for this evening. Well, I am here because 13 reviews are too little for this song..

Funny enough, reason is still very much a mystery to me. Thanks! Much appreciated! Re: Reason - haha - yes, it took me quite a while to get the hang of it. But I did a lot of work with hardware synths and samplers growing up, and Reason replicates that experience very well. Thanks again for leaving a comment. |
